Starfish Christian Trust: Street children

Matresses for Deaf School 27th Feb

Following a request from a friend in Kakamega, Kenya we were please to be able to respond to a request for 30 mattresses for children in the Deaf School. Responding to our gift, the principal at the school wrote

"On behalf of the school I acknowledge receipt of thirty mattresses from your society. We thank you very much for the donation. The school was in a dire need of mattresses and the donation will go a long way to improve children's welfare at school.

"Kakamega School for the deaf is a boarding institution that provides education and boarding needs to the children who are at the Christian deaf school. Most of the children come from poor background, whose parents and guardians cannot provide their basic needs. The school was started in the year 2000 and at the moment we have enrolment of 104 deaf learners despite of scarce resources available.

"Once more I thank you very much for the support and humbly request your continuity partnering with us in our endeavour to supporting this group of children"
