Starfish Christian Trust: Street children

Flying Start for Kakamega CBO

As you know, Starfish seed funded the Community Based Organisation in the Kakamega, Kenya. We keep receiving positive feedback as the success is apparent.

Firstly, Bishop Julius has received a letter of commendation already for the work that has been set in hand. This was received from the sub- county Government.

The next report told of two more people who were being helped by the CBO. The first was a lady who had been heavily involved in witchcraft. Since being helped with the donation of a sewing machine, by which she is making and repairing clothes and even making masks for use in the current virus situation. She has repented of her witchcraft and given her life to Jesus. The second is a young man who has been given sufficient chickens for him to develop a business selling eggs.

Finally, a community-based football team has been established to help develop some of the youths who feel helpless, hopeless and unemployable. It may not be discernible from the photo below but their Vision Statement is to be the best Community-based football team in the region!

I trust a great example of how money donated to Starfish is changing one life at a time.
