Starfish Christian Trust: Street children

Work Starts on Boy's Dormitory

It is always better to allow a first-hand report from those on the ground and so below is the report from Pastor Joshua on the first stages of the building of the boys dormitory at the Lighthouse Children's Home.

"We truly thank you all the trustees and donors for all the efforts in helping to construct this boys dormitory and the four lavatories for the boys and girls. Below are the work pictures. The COVID-19 has affected much of the work. The engineer got approval from Government saying that the boys need the accommodation very urgently. Consequently the government allowed only six workers in the site with nobody else allowed entrance.

"We were able to procure materials fast as the Govt approved us and gave permission regarding giving priority to the lives of the innocent children. We are truly thankful that through this crisis you have helped this home. The boys are excited and the contractor is so good to us.

The Pastor had an opportunity to preach the gospel to the contractor's family and the contractor's wife gave her life to Jesus. This is amazing."

We have released the funds to allow the work to continue.
