Starfish Christian Trust: Street children

A New Church for Burundi (Nov 18)

There is a lot of bad news coming out of Burundi at this time. The political situation is at best tense and at worst threatening to break out into civil war. All this when Burundi is reckoned to be the second poorest nation in the world.

Good news comes, therefore, from Pastor Joseph Ruvugana in Gitega. He heads the partner ministry for Starfish Christian Trust - Church of Reconciliation and Revival. He recently wrote:

"At Maramvya where you first met the Royal Burundi Drummers, there are 25 people who are committed to worship with us in RTC. By God's will and grace we have also received there a small plot of land, given by one of our church members. From January 2016, there will be a chapel. We praise God because the work of Starfish in Burundi is bearing fruit."

The drummers certainly attracted a large crowd to the open air meeting. A short video of the drummers can be found on the 'read more' link below.
